Hypersensitivity reaction in microbiology and skin test

hypersensitivity reaction

hypersensitivity is generally we called reaction but the hypersensitivity is a extreme physical sensitivity to a particular substance or condition.hypersensitivity is a abnormal sensitivity to a substance or drug or other agents or a condition in which the immune system react abnormally to a foreign substance

definition

hypersensitivity reaction define as a undesirable reaction produced by the normal immune system. including allergies and autoimmunity. example damaging, discomfort , occasionally fetal.

autoimmunity -  in this condition body immune system mistakenly attacks on our body.

cause of hypersensitivity

  • dust
  • food
  • animal
  • plant
  • drug
  • weather
  • autoimmunity
method of skin allergen test -
  • skin prick test -  pricking the skin with a needle containing a small amount of the suspected  allergen. the skin prick test help to exposing the  various allergens, in our body and its help to diagnose allergy or hypersensitivity reaction in our body.in this test different   types of allergens pricked on our skin and find the skin become red or pink or swelling on our skin allergens show

  • skin scratch test -  a deep dermic scratch is performed with help of the blunt is performed  with help of the blunt bottom of a lancent

interadermic test  -  a any susceptible allergen injected under the dermis with hypodermic syringe ,
  •  patch test - applying a patch to the skin where the patch contains the allergen
skin test -

1 .immediate reaction test
2 . Delayed reaction test
3 . skin end point titration

1. immediate reaction test -  the immediate skin reaction  test is help to understand skin hypersensitivity such as dust , food , weather , animal , drug , insect , etc. the immediate reaction test usually done to identify allergies such as dust ,drug , insect, weather .food, animal etc. in this  test the purified allergen pricked  on the skin surface. and allergens help to understand cause of hypersensitivity.

2 delayed reaction test -    in this test use different type of allergens for find cause of reaction. the patch test simply uses a large patch which has different allergens on it the patch is applied onto skin usually on the back

3 skin end point titration  - also called an intradernal test this skin end point titration uses intradermal injection of allergens at increasing concentrations to measure allergens response.
